News & updatesOctober 1, 2020by TTE GulfUAE Resumes Issuances of Entry Permits Excluding Work Permits

In the United Arab Emirates, the government decided on March 2020 to temporarily suspend visa issuances to curb the virus’s spread. As a result, the tourism industry, one of the most significant non-oil sources of revenue in the country, was laid to one of its major setbacks.

Nonetheless, on September 24, 2020, GOOD NEWS was announced by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (FAIC). From this day, the UAE has resumed issuing entry permits; however, work permits are still on hold.

The FAIC reiterated that this directive is within the framework of easing restrictions and bolstering the nation’s efforts towards recovering its economy.

Through the gradual easement of restrictions and vigorous efforts in the country, businesses are smoothly recuperating with the damages borne by the COVID-19. In fact, a multitude of businesses is continuously seen being established in the country.
