On April 14, 2025, Saudi Arabia made a pivotal mark in health innovation, winning a prestigious award and 19 medals at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. This success reflects the significant progress the country has made in medical solutions and highlights its commitment to improving healthcare services within the framework of Vision 2030.
At this event, several Saudi entities, including the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), the Council of Health Insurance (CHI), and NUPCO, showcased groundbreaking innovations, illustrating Saudi Arabia’s advances in research and development. Among the awards, NUPCO received a special prize, and several gold and silver medals were awarded to participants, particularly for their contributions to enhancing patient-centered care.
The Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, emphasized that innovation is at the heart of the transformation of the Saudi health sector. He reminded that this transformation involves investments in advanced technologies and international partnerships, with the aim of increasing the national life expectancy to 80 years by 2030.
The Geneva Exhibition, organized in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), is a major event for inventors from around the world. By receiving honors in this prestigious setting, Saudi Arabia strengthens its position as a global leader in health innovation.
