Scope of this Policy

This Policy applies to personal data collected through www.ttegulf.com and through related TTE digital interactions, including contact forms, newsletter registrations, webinar and event registrations, downloadable resources, website analytics, online enquiries and any website feature that links to this Policy.

TTE applies this Policy in accordance with applicable data protection requirements, including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law and its implementing regulations, and Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and Executive Regulations No. 816 of 2025, where those laws apply. Mandatory local rules prevail where they provide additional or different requirements.

Personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with TTE, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity and contact details, such as your name, business email address, telephone number and country.
  • Professional information, such as job title, employer, company name, sector, website and business interests.
  • Enquiry information, including the country, service, project, event or topic you contact us about and any information you include in a message or form.
  • Registration information for newsletters, webinars, events, missions, downloads or other TTE content.
  • Business relationship information, including meetings, follow-up actions, correspondence and records of your interactions with TTE.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, clicks, session information, referring source and campaign or UTM information.
  • Cookie and preference information, including your cookie choices and communication preferences.
  • Information you choose to provide through an AI-enabled website feature or chatbot if such a feature is made available.

Please do not send sensitive personal data through general website forms unless TTE has specifically requested it for a legitimate business purpose and appropriate safeguards are in place.

How we collect personal data

We collect personal data directly from you when you submit a form, contact us, register for an event or webinar, subscribe to communications, download content, or otherwise interact with TTE. We may also receive business contact information from publicly available professional sources, business partners, event organisers, institutional partners, referrals or companies with which we are working, where the collection and use of that information is permitted by applicable law.

Where personal data is obtained indirectly and applicable law requires a notice, TTE will provide the required information within the applicable timeframe, including at or before the first communication where required.

How and why we use personal data

TTE may use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries and provide information requested about TTE, our services or our regional activities.
  • To assess a potential project, arrange a meeting, prepare a proposal or take steps requested before entering into a business relationship.
  • To deliver and manage client services, projects, events, missions, webinars and business introductions.
  • To manage registrations, attendance, downloadable resources and follow-up connected with TTE content or events.
  • To manage professional relationships with clients, prospects, partners, institutions and other business contacts.
  • To send newsletters and marketing communications where you have provided a valid opt-in or where another lawful basis is expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • To analyse website performance, understand how visitors use the Site and improve content, navigation and user experience.
  • To maintain the security, integrity and technical operation of the Site and connected systems.
  • To comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, audit or record-keeping obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
  • To prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents or other unlawful activity.

Depending on the circumstances and the law that applies, processing may be based on your consent, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of legal rights, legitimate interests where recognised by applicable law and not overridden by your rights, or another lawful basis available under applicable law.

Marketing communications

TTE sends email marketing, newsletters and similar direct marketing communications only where the recipient has provided the required permission or another lawful basis for that communication is available under applicable law. Where prior consent is required, including for relevant direct marketing activities in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, TTE will obtain it before sending the communication.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the communication or by emailing info@ttegulf.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent TTE from sending service-related or administrative communications that are necessary for an existing relationship or transaction.

Cookies, analytics and website tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies as described in the TTE Cookie Policy. Strictly necessary technologies may operate without optional consent where permitted by law. Analytics, functional or marketing technologies that are not strictly necessary will be activated only after the required consent has been obtained.

TTE may use Google Analytics to understand website usage, including page views, interactions, traffic sources and campaign attribution. TTE may also measure clicks on key calls to action, form interactions and document downloads. You can manage non-essential cookies through the Site’s cookie preference centre.

Who we share personal data with

TTE does not sell personal data. We may share personal data only where reasonably necessary with:

  • TTE teams and relevant TTE offices involved in responding to your enquiry, delivering a project or managing a business relationship.
  • Website, hosting, CRM, analytics, email, communications, webinar, event, IT and cloud service providers acting for or supporting TTE.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers and specialist service providers where needed for legitimate business or legal purposes.
  • Trusted project partners or institutional partners where disclosure is necessary for a project and permitted by law.
  • Government authorities, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.
  • A buyer, investor, successor or adviser in connection with a genuine corporate transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.

Service providers are expected to process personal data only for authorised purposes and to apply appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

International transfers

Because TTE operates across the Middle East and uses international technology providers, personal data may be accessed from or transferred to countries outside the country in which it was collected. Depending on the interaction and provider involved, these locations may include the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, European countries and other jurisdictions in which approved service providers operate.

TTE will carry out cross-border transfers only where permitted by applicable law and will use the transfer mechanism, contractual safeguards, adequacy requirement, consent or other legal basis required for the relevant transfer. Where Saudi law applies, transfers outside Saudi Arabia are handled in accordance with the Saudi PDPL and the Regulation on Personal Data Transfer outside the Kingdom. Where Egyptian law applies, transfers are handled in accordance with the Egyptian PDPL, its Executive Regulations and applicable PDPC requirements.

How long we keep personal data

TTE keeps personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for any additional period required by applicable law, contractual obligations, accounting, audit, tax, dispute-resolution or legitimate record-keeping requirements.

  • General website enquiries and prospect records are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction unless a business relationship develops or a longer period is required for a legitimate reason.
  • Newsletter and marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or otherwise withdraw the relevant permission. Records needed to demonstrate consent, opt-out or suppression preferences may be retained for the period required by applicable law, including at least three years where required for relevant electronic marketing records in Egypt.
  • Event, webinar and resource-registration records are normally kept for up to 24 months after the relevant activity unless they become part of an ongoing business relationship.
  • Client and project records are kept for the duration of the relationship and thereafter for the period required by applicable legal, tax, accounting, audit, professional or limitation requirements.
  • Cookie and analytics information is kept for the period stated in the cookie preference centre or the applicable analytics configuration.

When personal data is no longer required, it will be securely deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable retention and destruction requirements.

Security

TTE applies reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, access or other misuse. These measures may include access controls, role-based permissions, secure hosting, authentication controls, backups, confidentiality requirements and security procedures appropriate to the nature of the information.

No internet or information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, TTE will assess the incident and make the notifications required by applicable law to the relevant authority and affected individuals where required.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to your personal data, you may have the right to:

  • be informed about how your personal data is collected and used;
  • request access to personal data held about you;
  • request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • request deletion or erasure of personal data where the applicable legal conditions are met;
  • request restriction, suspension or cessation of certain processing where applicable;
